EMDR Consultant

Serving Apple Valley & the High Desert

Helping individuals, couples, and families move from surviving to thriving.

Book a Consultation.

Hi, I'm Sandra. Beyond the letters after my name — LMFT — I'm just another human being. I'm a person who believes healing is possible and Mindfully Balanced was created to be a place where you can show up exactly as you are, even in your most vulnerable moments, and still feel safe.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an EMDR Consultant.  EMDR is one of the most effective, research-backed therapies for Mental Health Disorders, and it's at the heart of how I help clients move from surviving to thriving. I also draw on Brainspotting, another powerful body-based approach for processing trauma that talk therapy alone can't always reach.

I'm bilingual, fluent in English and Español, so more of my community can work with someone who understands them fully, in the language that feels like home. I see clients in Apple Valley and throughout the High Desert, in person and by secure Telehealth in California.

You don't have to carry this alone..

I work with people navigating:

  • Relationships & Family — marital, family, or relationship conflict

  • Anxiety & Mood — anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder

  • Trauma & PTSD — including sexual assault, violence, and past experiences that still weigh on you

  • Life & Body — sleep disturbances, substance use, chronic illness and pain, eating disorders

  • Complex Concerns — dissociative disorders, personality disorders, and more — if you don't see it here, reach out anyway

Reaching out is often the hardest step and the bravest one. If you're ready, I'd be honored to walk this with you. Complete contact form below!

Angela Golden

Hello, I'm Angela Golden, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges. My approach to therapy is rooted in building strong connections with my clients and working collaboratively as a team to tackle the hurdles life presents.

Throughout my journey in the field, I've discovered that therapy is a two-way street. While I aim to impart valuable knowledge and skills to my clients, I also recognize the immense learning that comes from each unique client experience, making me a better therapist with every interaction.

My journey in helping others began in 2012 at a social service agency, where I witnessed the profound impact of addiction, domestic violence, substance use, and various life circumstances on individuals and families. This experience ignited my passion to further my career in the helping profession.

After my time at the agency, I continued to work in social services, advocating for vulnerable populations and supporting families in need. Over the past two years, I've dedicated myself to providing therapy services to children, and for nearly a year, I've extended my expertise to serve adults, both individuals and couples.

I specialize in a wide range of areas, including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, eating disorders, and substance abuse. My primary goal is to empower my clients by equipping them with the tools to overcome their challenges, discover their hidden strengths, and build a foundation for lasting positive change.

Taking the step to seek help is often the most challenging part of one's healing journey, and I commend anyone who reaches out. I'm here to support you every step of the way, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to be a part of your healing team. Together, we can work towards a brighter and more fulfilling future.
